My Magical Crystal & Stone Collection

This has been highly requested for me to show off my collection in full, well mostly full. I keep my charged herbs and certain crystals in my purse at all times and they really do help. Besides that here is my gorgeous and magical collection of stones and crystals. I still have more that are too large to show but here are the majority.

If you’re interested in knowing the names or magical properties of any of my stones, please feel free to leave a question in the comment section. Also if you are interested in purchasing in any of my pieces, dm me on twitter or again leave me a question or comment here below.

The top photo is mostly my tumbled stones of all kinds a properties. I always cleanse and charge them with my energy and then charge them again if I’m using one for a specific spell.

These are some of my stones that aren’t tumbled which I love just as much as tumbled stones. The blue ones are Lapis Lazuli and all the yellow and little brown ones on top are Yellow Jasper which I have plenty of.

These are my bigger cluster crystal stones and my large charging stones which I use to charge other crystals and tools.

This is one of my dresser altars, not where I perform rituals or spells, but another sacred area that I sage to keep my crystals cleansed and their energies right. I have a huge variety of sizes here from my colorful elemental tree, to my two large rose quartz, to my crystal balls, and more. The plate that all my stones, rocks, and crystals are on is a beautiful “charging plate” I found to keep all of them energetically safe.

Ok now this last piece here I just got from my new friend Rayna who has a small business where she makes these incredible resin art pieces. I had to get this one because I wanted to use it as a “charging plate” for my magical jewelry which they look great on. I have another one coming in the mail soon also which I’m so excited about. Make sure to check out her business via twitter: @venusroseresin and venusroseresin.bigcartel.com. She has become an amazing friend and we have the same birthday so it was meant to be.

Hope you liked seeing a big glimpse into my magical crystal and stone spell collection and again, if you have any questions about their healing or magical properties or are interested in buying any, leave me a comment here or DM through my twitter: @CarlieSorat

I don’t do these often but when I do, I like to show everything and do them in a fun way so sometimes you’ll see ootd photos or videos like today. I wanted to do this video to show my spooky sexy outfit for getting my first batch of 2019 Halloween decorations at Michael’s, my home away from home. Here’s my video of my Outfit of the Day.

Little Black Bats

Alright I have done many many many articles on jewelry and accessories, especially unique jewelry that is handmade and/or you can’t find anywhere else. I got a brand new store and special friend that creates amazing handmade unique jewelry. Her name is Jenna Michals and her company is Little Black Bats which is such a cute name. I instantly connected with her and her work. Little Black Bats mostly makes Halloween, spooky, and magical inspired pieces but they also make fun and funny pieces as well. I’ll include the store information at the end of course.

I bought two pieces from Little Black Bats. The first one is my dark circus cluster necklace which reminds me of a spooky Alice in Wonderland piece.

The second one I bought was a my “DEAD BUT DELICIOUS” green and black necklace which the moment I saw it in Jenna’s shop I had to have it. It’s a quote from a brilliantly funny and spooky film spoof called, “What we do in the shadow” from New Zealand. (By the way, if you haven’t seen that movie, you MUST see it. I connected with my sister Suzy Owen who is also from there, and we both saw it together the same night, just on different sides of the world.)

Here is how Little Black Bats got started. Hope you enjoy this article and you must check out Jenna and the shop:

“Little Black Bats was born out of frustration of needing a creative outlet. In the very beginning, I was making laser-cut acrylic jewelry, but soon after realizing it wasn’t the right medium for me, I changed gears and started working with shrink plastic. It gave me the freedom I was looking for to create, and three years later, the wheels haven’t stopped turning. I seek inspiration from everything—mainly music, movies, gothic and horror subcultures, medical oddities, and more.”

Another thing I adore about Jenna as a person and why I think we became fast friends is that we have a lot of important things in common, besides both liking spooky fun, stuff include that we’re both artists, we both believe in supporting artists, we both have a strong work ethic, and more. Definitely check Little Black Bats on all their social media sites and especially the store. You won’t be disappointed.

Weekend Fashion and Style

I went to go see the movie, “The Nun” yesterday, which by the way was good and very scary, and my husband and I both loved what I wore yesterday on our movie date and took some photos of my look. I was in a very artsy and bohemian mood, and enjoyed wearing my sexy leather shorts with a simple black tank top and my velvet floral kimono shawl. I paired it with my cute floppy hat and tortoise shell sunglasses. I finished my look off with my Valentino black and gold studded heels, my quilted classic Chanel Purse, some cute bangles, my gold pearl drop earrings from my friend Kirsty and my Edgar Allan Poe necklace made by my other friend Luna.

I love the mix of the color and black and white photos my man took and I felt like I was sitting in one of my favorite cafes in San Francisco. I really enjoyed this fun outfit of mine as well as my really fun day.

10 Looks For Summer: Outfit Nine: “Universal Monster Look”

I love mixing my pinup/rockabilly style with my horror inspired pieces. Since it’s almost Autumn, I wanted my last two summer outfits to look like that they can work during the summer as well as in the fall when it starts to look cooler. For this outfit, you can definitely still rock it in cold weather, you just need to layer a jacket or sweater over it. This outfit is very versatile.

I know this universal monster print can be found anywhere now BUT I was one of the VERY FIRST BUYERS for this material about fifteen years ago and got it from the first company that used this print so I feel extra special. I loved pairing it with my black crop top decorated with my brand new HOCUS POCUS pendant from my girl, LunaMoon. I’ve known here a long time now and love her!

For the finishing touches, I wore this outfit in my cute Bettie Page heels and my fabulous unique strawberry flower hair clip. Hope you like this look and can inspire you in some of your looks and like I said before, this outfit can still be worn during cooler weather, just find a fabulous and/or sexy coat to keep your beauty toasty warm.

10 Looks for Summer: Outfit Four “All Eyes on You.”

315790CA-4625-47E2-BBE0-588A4F85BBF1

Today it was 104 degrees were I was today. I was in the San Fernando Valley to have a doctor’s appointment with my mom as well as my mom which was nice since we got together.

I knew it was going to scorching hot today so I donned my spaghetti strap “Batty Eye” dress from Sourpuss Clothing. I wore my studded stilettos again and wore my crystals in my right hand with with iridescent beetle earrings, emeral jewelry. I also rocked my pink and green jeweled cat eyed sunglasses again and I still love them. The finishing touch were my “Victory Roll Swirl hairdo with my lily spider flower clip.

This outfit was perfect for this horrible heat today as well as a cute dinner outfit at my favorite Italian restaurant, “Buen Gusto.” I went with my mom who is my bff besides my husband. Winks, and we had a very nice time. It was fun taking pictures in there and having some Procesco to go with the sign above when I’m sitting down.

Love me some Lily LolliePop

IMG_6747

I’ve known and been friends with the cutie that is Lily for a few years now and I love her. I met her through Instagram and her style and look immediately drew me to her. On her page, she sells really cute and unique fashion accessories, and more. You guys know that I love getting unique and creative pieces that can’t be found everywhere so I always enjoyed going through her page. The first thing I got from her were my fantastic, “Cross your heart and hope to die, stick a needle in your eye” sunglasses which I still treasure. I’ve also gotten some sexy Rocky Horror lips earrings, a spider ear cuff, a beautiful rose choker, and more which I included a pic of those certain items below.

Besides the cool stuff she carries, I love that Lily and I developed a really cool friendship and we have so many things in common and have the similar sense of humor and style. She is a very kind and sweet lady and I’m so glad I met her.

IMG_6746

Here’s a little info on Lily and how she got started with selling on her Instagram which is @_lilylolliepop_ , as well as her likes and interests. Definitely check out her page.

” I got started right after I got pregnant with my oldest son who is now five! I’ve been selling jewelry and accessories since then. I just couldn’t just stay at home and do anything after working full-time everyday and I wanted to make a little extra money somehow. What interested me was unique and different things that you don’t see everywhere. I love all that is unique and creepy! What interested me is horror and Halloween is my favorite holiday.

My favorite things are to hang out with my friends, go to shows, and I love putting on makeup everyday. It’s not just makeup, it’s art! My favorite movies are Friday the 13th, House of 1000 Corpses, the original IT, and the Notebook (haha).” -Lily

I told you all that Lily and I have a lot in common and have similar tastes. Haha!

My latest gift from her are some fierce and sexy diamond red lipstick earrings that came with a matching double red lipstick ring. They say Mac and Lipstick Lover on them and are very well made and not heavy to wear. Here are some shots of them and me wearing my new jewelry.

10 Looks for Summer: Number Three, Girlie Girl in Jeans and a Tank Top

A tank top and jeans is always a cute go to, especially during the summer time but I like to add a little extra flare to this look. I rolled and cuffed up my jeans like any good rockabilly gal and wanted to be pretty in pink in my cute barbie pink heart Trixie Mattel tank top. If your tank is a little big, pair it with a pretty lacy bra or thin camisole (that will still keep you cool) to give a little sexy but tasteful edge. It also dresses up the outfit a bit more as well do some big high heels or stilettos. I sported my new pair of HUGE flamingo pink and green- jeweled cat-eyed sunglasses. I love them and they are so fun as well as protect my peepers from the sun.

To give your look more glamour, wear some beautiful jewelry with it. Here I wore a beautiful shell heart bracelet to go with my hearts on my top and my finishing touch were some beautiful pearl drop, vintage-inspired chandelier earrings that I just got as a gift from my girl Kirsty Giuliani that she made. Thank you girlie, I am I love with them!

“Victorian Private Show Lady” Photo Shoot Part 2

For part 2 of this shoot, my inspiration was still the “Victorian Lady” theme obviously but I wanted to dress and pose how a burlesque dancer from the early 1900’s would’ve dressed. I definitely did my research on this considering burlesque is a major passion of mine but I also took inspiration from one of my favorite television shows, “Murdoch Mysteries,” which is a brilliant Canadian show that I recommend to everyone.

I love the second hat fascinator from Debra Shirley and it worked perfectly with my Victorian corset, my fishnets that I stoned myself, and my other accessories. I wanted to do both outside and inside shots since this is a little bit more of a “PEEK A BOO” shoot but still “CLASSY AS ALWAYS!” That’s a true burlesque performer.
